not fussed where they get their money from.

seriously!! I think it’s important where the owner of a football club gets their money from.

I agree. If our situation is as grave as is made out, let’s just start with an owner who pays the bills on time. We are in no position to be choosey.

Up to tonight a slight rise in the number of sales of seated tickets up to 142.

The sale is needed, fans are holding off only because Whittingham is still our owner after a painful costly sale process.

If he is still our owner by the start of next season gates maybe considerably lower just because he is still the owner. If the sale happens I’m sure a high percentage will indeed get their season tickets and that’s understandable, fans have had enough of him.

He cannot pontificate and blame what ever he wants, but the fans believe it’s down to him and if it wasn’t for our BOD’s and our fantastic staff and loyal marvellous fans things would be worse, much much worse.

It’s us here in Morecambe that have had to deal with his intransigence and his inability to fund us properly and totally mind boggling business acumen.

The football club are saying that sales are up but let's be honest here they're really not.
I understand that board members have to protect and do the best for that company.

Well if they are up on last year sales must have been very very poor after two weeks.

Of course we don’t know sales on Berlin Wall or the Halo, maybe 100s are just switching?

Hoping for a sale in next five weeks, I hear!!

Still dangling that string, how many will they hook?

Look we know that loads are boycotting wether you like it or not.... who are these people that are replacing the lost season tickets?
Prices gone up but you genuinely believe that we are selling more?

Yes I do because I believe what the BoDs are saying.

I said it before but to continue to call them liars is totally out of order...

Costs are going up everywhere. Our club is NOT immune to rises so price increases are complet justified.

The cost of transport alone will have increased over the season as will overnight accommodation.

The loss of significant sponsorship from Sky will also have a negative affect on our club. So it needs everybody to put to one side their protesting and think of the survival of our club for a change. The National Legue could cost more to participate than the EFL due to the loss of numerous revenue streams .

Jees its hard work reading your posts sometimes. Shame there isn't a block function like on fb. He isn't directly calling them liars, he is jist saying it is hard to believe season ticket sales are up on last year. As for not boycotting for the sake of the club it is the view of NAPM followers that that course of action is the best action to take for the long term future of the club!

Click on a username in a reply and select Foe and their posts will be hidden. It will still show a line stating a foe has posted but you have to click a link to see it. Downside is when someone quotes your foe, you'll still see it.

Didn't they sell 600-750 seated season tickets last season?

They must be waiting till the early bird has finished and then they will buy.

This is a bit silly. They've got a duty to protect the club, but not by outright lying. If figures were significantly down, then the board would probably just try to avoid mentioning them, rather than make stuff up in the press.

They'll be telling the truth, but I don't think it's worth reading into the figure much at this point. The people who feel strongly about renewing were always more likely to do so in the first couple of weeks. Give it till the end of the early bird period, then we'll probably have a better idea of how NAPM may have affected things.

Agreed. I don't think the numbers at this point this year or last year are significant. Most of the early bird sales probably come after payday near the end of the early bird period. The reason they might be higher at this point is likely due to people trying to make a point that they don't support the NAPM protest. I suspect overall season tickets will be lower than last season even without the potential protest.

I was also counting seated ticket sales as well, it’s starting to get harder now more are selling, seeing your beating me to it, your more than welcome to carry on. (I counted 198, no need to quibble as you say it will probably go over 200 tomorrow).
