After relegation from L1, our hard-core support was like 3500 then away supprters on top of that.

If things don't change, I can see our hard-core being around 700 in the NL

Andy D you think Morecambe will be left with 700 fans, I think you will be roundabout right, maybe 100 or two more if we are not sold.

The NAPM campaign or not a lot of fans have had enough of Whittingham and they boy have they been patient and they have got behind the team hoping the sale will happen and feel betrayed and let down it hasn’t happened.

You know what our director James Wakefield said carry on with Groundhog Day. You have also had yet another Club Statement once again stating how difficult it is for them looking after the Club while dealing with Whittingham as our owner and so yes James it’s worse.

Price per game, it’s a jump, but it’s not that bad to go and watch your team play and it might just help our purchasing power for the squad next season. For me that is not the issue, it’s not that we have dropped out of the EFL, it’s WHITTINGHAM STILL BEING THE OWNER and that is it.

So having said which is worse, joining the NAPM campaign or trying to force Whittingham hand. He’s lived of the back of the Club for long enough. I think we need to get rid of him to stop the rot and survive.

For me changing my mind from two months ago and now being on board with the NAPM campaign is a personal thing as a Morecambe FC fan, I cannot keep going while Whittingham drags the Club down anymore. So I won’t be purchasing a season ticket till he’s gone.

As soon as he’s gone I will be back then Andy D it will be 701.

Jason Out To Survive.

Looking back at last year's post on Season Tickets it mentions 1,800 - 1,900 by late May.

So a little game:-

A) The number of Season Tickets bought before next season if Whittingham is still the owner.

B) The number of Season Tickets bought before next season if we are sold and we have different owners.

My guess is:-

A) 1,078
B) 1,893

Selling to Momi is potentially a worse outcome than sticking with Jason.

Stay with Jason - 700 sold
Bought by Momi - 900 sold
Bought by someone credible - 2000+ sold

I think last season we sold 1900 and in the two years in L1 around 2800.

So annoying that the dodgy owner is killing off any growth of our fanbase.

I won't be renewing my season ticket unless we sell to someone credible.

Who would you consider to be ‘someone credible’ though? Unless this mythical consortium of local businessmen emerge, it’s always going to be an unknown quantity. I’m not filled with confidence by Panjab Warriors myself but beggars can’t be choosers.

I think the following are the right figures for previous years:

21/22 - 2561 (1626 Standing, 935 Seating)
22/23 - 2813 (1806 Standing, 1007 Seating)
23/24 - 2286 (No Break Down)
24/25 - 1482 (No Break Down).

Can only count seating tickets on the Morecambe website so after 8 days 133 season tickets sold, I wonder if Rod gives us regular updates to let us know if the sales are still ahead of last year?

Don't be neive, with these cock n bull story's.

I'm still not going to buy a season ticket, and can still pay on the day anyway, if things get resolved.

I might lose my seat where I like sit, but big deal, so what.

I wonder how 'Life Season Ticket' holders are counted, and how many there are? Would they be the first ones added to the total, or not count in 'sales' until the end?

I disagree. Momi doesn't fill me with confidence, and we may be 'out of a frying pan, into a fire', but if he buys, I think we have to take him at face value, until we have evidence to the contrary. I don't think he could be "worse" than Whittingham, because Whittingham is driving us out of business anyway, so the worst outcome from Momi, is the same as Whittingham.

The issue with Momi really is 'why'? Why a non-League football club, hundreds of miles from home, with no connections, when not apparently, 'that' wealthy, after Whittingham will have already sucked as much out of the club as he can? A wealthy business man from India, who was going to make an Indian version or Reynolds and co at Wrexham, that raised his personal and business profile, would make sense. But this?

Could be right Keith, I counted only the newly sold ones (grey) so it could, as you say be more. Obviously a lot yet to renew their seats, must be waiting, for the life of me I wonder what for

Someone credible would be someone with an obvious source of funds. For example, they own a successful company.

Can anyone say where Momi made the money required to buy and sustain MFC?

Lifetime season ticket holders often get forgotten altogether! I got a phone call a couple of years ago from mfc asking if I wanted to buy a season ticket! They had " lost" all records of the holders!
Don't worry be happy!
