What now

It does feel like a bit of desperation crept in when we ended up having lots of strikers on the books, rotating them round (and sometimes just playing them all at the same time) in the hopes that one of them would hit some form and come up with some goals.

I just hope that we have our budget confirmed in good time for next season so that we can plan a bit better and use our (probably limited) resources more effectively.

What Now? a competitive squad! That all depends on the budget and that will depend on getting a new owner ASAP.

A new owner will mean fans will be placated and Morecambe fc will be funded better as more season tickets will be sold. Then if we are doing well I think people will come and gate will be up over 2,000 and that’s reasonable for the National League.

I look back at the beginning of the season and the first 8 games when we didn’t have a win, we played a lot of bigger teams and though we only ended up with 4 points I was not worried, but with injuries we fell of and though up to of late the performances in the main were respectable, we could not change losing by one goal into a draw or the odd win. So we are we are where we are.

Its imperative we get in a striker who can stay fit and get in the region of 20 goals, that must be a priority, then with a mixture of a older players and young bucks wanting to prove themselves to make up the squad.

I think if Derek has first dibs on the managers job, if he doesn’t want it there is Coleman other than that I would not know.

The other question is do we go semi-pro or do we this first season try and be a full time professional team?

In the end I think Morecambe fans would want a squad that gives us a great chance of bouncing straight back to the EFL.

So get the Club sold to give the Club a chance of stability and try and get straight back up into the EFL.

Derek confirms he will be with us next season.

Already planning friendlies and when they are to return for pre-season training (23rd June!)

Getting rid of that parasite is fundamental to our progression in the National League. Until he goes (by whatever means) the sooner the better.

My concern is 'who or what is going to replace him'..... :?:

I'd hate it to be almost a carbon copy of the current owner which could set us back even further on the difficult road to recovery....
