What a strange league it as been...

Looks like whoever wins it will have one of the lowest points total ever

No one seems to want to win it at the moment.the lead as changed about 5 times in the last few games

It's just so annoying we had a very poor team, a bit of investment and we would've been pushing for the payoffs. Very average league this season.

100%, which makes it even more criminal that Jason has allowed us to go down. It would have taken a minimal level of investment to keep us up in this mediocre league. I believe we’d have finished at least 10 places higher with the addition of literally 1-2 ‘ok’ players at the start of the season.

Wow City Shrimp we are on the same page, Whittingham at the root of our demise and as our Director, James says, another Groundhog Day again next season if he is still our owner.

The truth from a Director of the Club, says everything everybody needs to know.

I don't think the team was that bad really. The real problem has been lack of quality up front. The only "goal scorer" we've had was Angol who missed most of the first half of the season. If he'd not got injured early on, I think we'd have won more games and survived in L2. Likewise if Gwion hadn't been injured so much.

We've been pretty solid in defence, but sadly lots of goal keeping errors have cost us games, especially since Moore's injury as he was pretty solid beforehand. So many 1-0 losses where we actually played pretty well but "gifted" a win to the opposition with goalie errors.

Not to mention players making stupid decisions like the unnecessary sending offs and buggering up easy shots on goal (Dallas!!).

I'd say we were only one decent striker away from survival. Had the club not lost £95k on the VAT fiasco, Derek could have spent that on a decent loan striker in January rather than having to scramble for whoever was left over who'd come for a pittance!

off field issues aside, what cost us this season was our lack of goal scoring options, injuries to key players, simple errors and poor discipline.

Its odd to think how well we have competed at times, but likely to finish 24th out of 24 teams.

If we'd also had a decent league 2 keeper i think we wouldnt conceed as much either but the embargo in january killed us in the market for one, one person is to be blamed which is Whittingham that's where the buck stops with all of the issues from last season to this season
