Anybody know if the pitch has frozen over due to the current sub zero temperatures at night resulting in tomorrows game being in doubt or have the club taken precautions by covering over those areas that remain in the shadows of the main stand that would be unable to thaw out during daylight hours?

You heard correctly.

Called in at The Globe this lunch time and saw the entire pitch covered. Spoke to John who works alongside Chesh and he said the same about our covers not having arrived yet; so the club appear to have hired a set that cover the entire field.

Why was I so concerned about the possiblity of the game being off... :?: :?: :?:

I should've known better....

Stupid old fart CC.....

EDL vs UAF and Preston vs Millwall on the same day. I'm amazed any other match in Lancashire is still on with the police resources Preston needs tomorrow.

[Shameless stereotype warning]

Aren't Millwall fans and the EDF one and the same? :p

Yes, I know, not really true ;)

Don't wish to butt in....

But it's now a legal requirement for ALL league clubs to have suitable frost covers that can cover the WHOLE of the playing surface.

So don't be surprised that you have them...

Listening on Radio Lancashire and just checked this site extra hands are needed to clear the snow.

Sure the game will be on and hope for a five goal thriller on Lancashire day
