Came on for the last 5/10 mins. Bielsa is apparently a fan of him - likes his versatility to play in a few positions. I'm guessing he also has the favoured quality of doing exactly as Bielsa tells him. Hopefully he's got some more appearance etc add-ons within our deal, wouldn't be shocked to see some of them hit this season.

Yarney has just scored for Chesterfield in the Vanarama.

Elliott Osborne just scored also in the Vanarama. Maybe a midfielder that got away :?:

Does Thommo have a hairdryer? Bradford Park Avenue 0-4 down to Guiseley at half-time.

They lost 5-0 and they also lost 5-0 on Saturday. Thommo finding management a tough game at the moment although Guisley are quite a decent side.

Malcolm Richmond, scorer of the first goal in the 1974 FA Trophy Final, and my former teacher here in Bolton, has passed away.

Very sad news.

A super striker for Morecambe in the 70's and a Wembley goalscorer and hero for many.

Many years go, I organised a school football/hockey trip abroad for the kids. Staying in this hotel, one member of staff got chatting to a bloke from another school at breakfast, mentioning we were from a school in Morecambe.
The other teacher mentioned he had played at Wembley and scored for Morecambe. When this conversation was mentioned on the coach to the tournament, my ears pricked up!
It was Mally. He was a great bloke and very unassuming but very funny. Our paths crossed every night in the hotel bar after we had rounded up our kids and sent them to bed, he was chuffed to bits every night as I called him “Wembley Legend” every time.
We shared memories of the year and the final.
A few years later , at the Globe, I would imagine 2014, the 74 team were invited back and we got to interview them for the website, tragically, Mally’s son was in a car accident and passed away the night before, so we never got chance to catch up.
He was a true gent, a legend and had nothing but good to say about the Shrimps, he always looked out for the result first.
Genuinely sad at his passing, thoughts with his family.

I remember the goal. I was an exile even then but living in Stevenage.

It always surprises me how many present Shrimpsvoices were there. Shows our age I suppose

At a more appropriate time maybe Mal Richmond could be considered for a place on the Shrimps Wall of Fame.

Mark Duffy joins Stoke on loan from Blades. Gutted for him. Did make a Premier League appearance.

Jamie Devitt apparently well down the pecking order at Gloomfield and talk of him being loaned out !

I wouldn't mind having him back here. Elvis at Carlisle says he won't try and take him back there.

Would be delighted if we could get him back but I suspect that we couldn't afford him and who would he replace in the current squad despite our midfield being so chronically under strength.

Lewis is only short term, so could replace him with Devitt in January perhaps?
