According to blue square northampton town installed favourites for league two at 9/1 we are 25/1 worth a few quid (what i find strange is grimsby are better bet than us at 22/1)

It depends where you look as to who is the early favourites. Generally Shrewsbury and Rotherham have been installed as the early favourites, especially amonst the high street bookmakers. You can get 33/1 on us at William Hill. I think Bury are a good bet. 14/1, narrowly missed out last time and have kept all of their squad together.

Oddschecker: League Two

Bury or Rotherham for me (in a double with Luton).

I don't bet online but does anyone know if any of the normal (shop) bookies are taking bets this early??

I know that Ladbrokes are taking bets. If one of the high street bookmakers does something, you can take it for red that the other will soon follow. If you fancy Bury then the best price currently is with Betfred, who have a shop in Torrisholme I believe.

Looks like the bookies have been doing their homework, Northampton are to be taken over by a middle Eastern consortium.

Them as well?

It's Notts County that look set to be taken over. It'll be interesting to see how that pans out.

Notts County are to be taken over by Arabs who are willing to pump in £20 million if local rumour is anything to go by. Their price has shortened significantly today. Most bookies have them around the 10/1 mark. At the start of the day you could have got 50's in some places. For some reason Ladbrokes shops are offering 33/1 for stakes of £50, the balance of bets over £50 is at 14/1. This price was only available at high street shops, on the Ladbrokes website I believe Notts are 14's. Strange, and much better value than anywhere else.
