...some excellent pre-season games ahead.

Southport...a nice gentle stroll against our former Conference friends
Huddersfield...tough but will test the new boys (?????)
Plymouth....again an excellent fixture and somebody we've never played before
Tranmere....our regular knock about with them

Sammy and Mark look to have put a bit of thought into pre-season games this time around.

PLUS

Possibly Barrow and a number of others as well.

Can't wait!!!!!

Having a former international manager brings us a bit of clout, attracting all these giants to our stadium

I think the plymouth and huddersfield friendlies are excellent ones not played before and to be honest friendlies are more for the players and getting them fit than for supporters in my opinion but any extra money made is a bonus

ideally the club needs friendlies against teams who are just a division above us.

no point in running in cricket scores against the likes of Lancaster.

I would argue there was

But on a serious note, there would be a big crowd which would provide them with much needed funds.

I think games against the likes of Lancaster, Kendal, Southport and Barrow could be very valuable if the fixtures ran near enough in that order. Preseason is all about builing fitness gradually. We should follow kaizen philosophy, building towards the might of Plymouth..... :ugeek:
