Personally as recent fan I have only ever known of Jim Bentley but he certainly makes one of the best captains if not the best captain in the football league, he loves the club he has time for fans and he always gives 110%, he has also got us into the football league.

Theres been some good captains here over the years.

This is a nice thought and many of us would like to think Jim will be involved after his playing time but you can only possibly state I.M.O.

For me its got to be Jimbo or Andy yarddog grimshaw both great captains and also great guys off the pitch

I may be a little biased. however, I have to say from a purely inspirational, respect, makes you believe in the football club, plays his heart out point of view. the best captain and also by implication the best centre half we've ever had is.

While i agree jim is the best captain of the club we have had in my memory,,,
and i do feel proud to know we have a captain for who it does mean so much,and i also think he does feel honoured to be so,and im sure within reason he would give up his on spare time for a worthy cause.i think it is worth mentioning that jim is also the first captain we have had since going full time,and that all the other guys also had to work full time jobs,,,
but dont forget about lawrence walsh!!!! some head that guy had!!!!
