O/T The Game's GONE - Chapter 126......

Postby Seasider9601 » Thu Apr 18, 2024 11:35 am

No FA Cup Replays next season from the First Round Onwards.........

Imagine the scenario. Tiny non league club gets an excellent 1-1 draw away at a MASSIVE club. They can't bring them back to their little ground because the FA have deemed they're not having replays any more.

Leave the bloody game alone !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just another example of controlling bodies tinkering with the game.....sod the little club who rely on a replay against a big boy for some welcome pennies into their bank.

Can't see many giant killers from now on..... :( :( :(

A very well written club statement. "Football is broken" (quote).

Never was a truer word said.

Indeed, and it's clear to see how rattled our board appear to be with the authorities, somewhat understandably with what they've had to deal with over recent years!

Come on guys we need to look after the 300k - 400k a week players in the premier league who fly from manchester to newcastle cos they can`t sit on a coach for 2 hours

They must get really tired playing 2 games a week - such a shame

What about the players (part time) at Wealdstone who have just had to work and play 10 games in 3 weeks don`t hear them moaning

The above is all tongue in cheek and i for one dont give a toss about any player in the premier league

Sure they won`t be tired when they are flying to america and australia to play pointless pre season games

Football in this country as finished as we used to know it i am afraid

I think the FA, Premier League & EFL need to grow a pair, and tell the big-boy-bullies to f*** off, and form their European Super League. But, with no promotion or relegation, so Newcastle, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea can play each other for the rest of time. Kick them out of all English football. Let Sky have them for the rest of time, but tell them, if it doesn't work out, they will only come back to English football if they start in the National League.
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
