Another 4000 plus crowd today

Anyone know what our average home crowd is this season

Still a few decent crowds to come with Barrow and Wrexham still to come to the Maz

I think we now average nearly 4000 which with the drop in away crowds means we have kept almost everyone who joined the party in L1. Few hundred freebies included today and ST no shows but a few years ago this would have probably been a sub 2000 attendance

If the club has sufficient notice to realise the 'away end' will not be required, I see no negatives whatsoever in giving youngsters a free taste of League action. They are potential fans of the future for us, and the majority eat and drink something whilst attending. Some of their parents might become new fans too.

Our next 3 matches are all away from home.

If we can get decent points from them it should give us a chance of making the play-offs.

4 points would be ok

5 or 6 points are really good returns

7 or 9 points and get booking a hotel in Wembley ! :D :D :D :D

With a return to winning at home, being Morecambe, we'll probably start losing away ;) . I think we'll get 4 points out of next 3.....as you say, OK.

Thinking about this - we are basically mid table (16th) in the league in terms of home attendances.

Are we still considered to have the lowest budget in the league? If so, why is that, given that there are 8 teams with smaller crowds than us?

We probably have a bigger turnover than others but bear in mind many of our ticket sales are cheap season tickets. Other clubs may also charge more for match tickets, have better off field revenue streams and owners putting money in.

As the budget is set by the owner who is trying to sell our club. He won't want to put any more investment in than he thinks is retrievable.

You generally need 70-75 to qualify for the playoffs. Let’s call it 72 to give us a decent chance.

16 games left and 26 points needed assuming no deduction.

8 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses?
7 wins, 5 draws and 4 losses?

A tall order either way! (and that might not be enough)

Can't remember who it was but some pundit reckoned we would finish 3rd behind Mansfield and Stockport...stupid or what.... :?: :?: :?:

Not likely but I do think we will finish above Barrow which would be amazing when you consider how far below them in points we were a few weeks back.

Seemed to have branched away from thread title but you can still get 40/1 on Morecambe getting promoted according to odds checker. Not a bad gamble?

We have the 4 points from our run of away matches with 1 to play and I said 4 from the 3 matches would be OK.

Let's hope we can make it 5 or preferably 7 points at Walsall. With Grimsby at home on Saturday we could be on 53 points with Barra after that game. Also we could be still on 47 !
