Interview now on the OWS

Full of emotion and truths of our season. Accepts responsibility for results and performances. Full of praise for his players but admits that fell short on quality.

No mention of next season but I for one would be more than happy to have him at the helm for the season.

Astounded if he does but then again I was astounded that he stayed last Summer.

It’s an income! Or has it become more to him??

I’m sure the current BOD’s will let him carry if he wants to.

Well it’s a chance to right the wrongs of the last few years and that can only be done with a new owner and of course a budget that will Derek get the right players in.

Having said that I hope his tactics are a bit more in the direction of being affirmative and on the ground not hoof ball due to deficiencies in the team.

IF the club (and new owners) are serious about getting back into the EFL, then Derek is definitely the man for the job. He knows how to grind out results with limited resources. Literally no one else could have got us promoted to L1. And we saw the disasters that were Robbo and Ged as managers which is the kind of alternative we'd be looking at if we didn't keep Derek. Coleman "may" be a good alternative but only if he was supported properly as he isn't as good at working on a shoestring as Derek.

How much do we believe he's currently paid and what would expect the new salary to look like? Not overly clued up on managers wages in L2/NL let alone ours which is likely even lower.
