Signed a new 2 year contract this morning with further 1 year option

Surely he must know who the new manager is to sign a contract

It means Edwards and Charlie Brown are the only senior players to be under contract for next season with the club due to publish a retained list no later than tomorrow.

This is taken from the Lancaster Guardian

Brilliant signing and on a 2 year deal too. My glass half empty thinking is that this seems to have been sorted a couple of months ago when things were slightly more stable and it's just taken this long to confirm due to the EFL embargo and needing their approval.

Still, he must have had the opportunity to change his mind in that time and hasn't. Maybe their could be some more positive movement behind the scenes.

At last, some good news! He was excellent towards the end of the season, so if he stays injury free, he'll be a great signing!

So how did that work out then?

This sounds to me as though JW has sold the club.

We couldn't have offered a 2 year + 1 option to anyone without a new owner.

I would also take the following, Stu Moore, Rawson, Love, Slew, Senior, JJ, Tutonda and Taylor

Even Songo’o and Stokes to add extra experience to the squad.

The promotion of a few of our good youngsters as well. (it will help keep the wage bill down)

All to add to Charlie, (who must have been worrying what was going on).

A new manager now, pronto. Confirmation of payment of wages at the end of the month, (on time!) Embargo lifted (might have been sorted??) and lastly, what would be the best news, that JW has finally sold the club.

Sorry everyone, I’m just so excited at some good news, hopefully now there is much more to come.

Interesting that Barrow fans think Pete Wild is leaving Holker Street.

I don't think it will be to come to us though.
